The art doesn’t consist in representing new things, but in representing with news.
A philosophy that has brought Enrico Thanhoffer to match his great passion for painting with his profession of architect.
Two world that are apparently distant, but that show a common denominator: creativity.
From few years now, Enrico Thanhoffer is also an appreciated painter, awarded with several prizes and winner of some competitions, as well as inventor of an innovative pictorial technique.
In fact, his paintings, a mix between figurative geometric, and an abstract that calls to mind the famous rooms of Hilbert, are realized using the computer.
After having “baptised” this new artistic wave as Globismo, that means the skill to let the abstract dialogue with the figurative, Enrico Thanhoffer, known as Munico ® in the art world (acronym of “ Mhetod UNIfied COnstruction”, as additional witness of his “real” profession), introduced the philosophy that stands at the basis of this new artistic manifesto also inside his architecture.
“ I don’t belong to any existing artistic wave – underlines Enrico Thanhoffer – in my paintings and in my projects my first aim is to have the opposite to dialogue, that is the rational part and the irrational one. In this case, my passion for painting has been of great inspiration for me. Speaking about architecture, the biggest difficulty is to respect the endless bureaucracy of the norms that rule everything, and succeeding in let one’s own creativity stand out”.
Enrico Thanhoffer has been working for over ten years as technician of the municipality and as a consultant of the Court of Como, and he has already realized different projects, giving to each one his personal artistic interpretation.
“It’s not easy to have one’s own ideas understood ad accepted – end Thanhoffer – most of all in architecture, where your purchasers le you be daring with difficulty. My passion for art, that has brought me to being known also as an artist, receiving many certificates of merit and pubblications, has helped me much in overcoming thi mistrust that the purchasers have towards an innovative architecture”.
